Dealing with different compendial methods
The European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) has announced a major change of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) publication schedule, starting with Issue 13.1.
Nine Months Implementation Period
Together with its transition to a fully online version, the Ph. Eur. is adopting a new publication schedule that will extend the period between publication and implementation dates from six to nine months.
This change will allow users more time to prepare for the upcoming modifications. Issue Ph. Eur. 13.1 will be published on the Ph. Eur. platform in April 2026. Its new and revised texts will take effect in January 2027.
The publication schedule for the current and upcoming issues of the Ph. Eur. is now available on the EDQM website and in Pharmeuropa.
