A reliable Basis for Qualifying Service Providers?
Two new GDP Non-Compliance Reports have recently been published in the EudraGMDP database, both following the identification of serious violations of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements.
The first report, dated 20 March 2025 (report number: NCCENTROM/2025/001, inspection date: 11 December 2024), was issued by the Competent Authority of Cyprus (Pharmaceutical Services, Ministry of Health). It states that the wholesale distributor had supplied medicinal products to unauthorized entities, which is a clear violation of GDP standards.
The second report, dated 26 March 2025 (report number: 482076-103624037, inspection date: 04 December 2024), was published by the Austrian Federal Office for Safety in Health Care. Here, the authority notes in general terms that the distributor does not comply with the EU GDP Guideline, without specifying further details.
In both cases, the respective Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA) was withdrawn.
