Report of the HMPC Meeting held in November 2011

On 9 December 2011, the EMA published the report of the 44th Meeting of the Herbal Medicinal Products Committee (HMPC) held on 21/22 November 2011.

In 2011, the HMPC adopted 20 final monographs and was able to achieve their annual KPI (Key Performance Indicator). The committee also adopted 21 draft monographs, thus exceeding the KPI by one.

Besides, public statements were released when no monograph could be established.

Furthermore, the HMPC agreed on the revision of the Q&A document on quality of herbal medicinal products/traditional herbal medicinal products. The document will clarify the question on quality of water and also deal with an additional question on stability.
