Recommendation

Challenges and Solutions for Packaging / Devices & Single Use Systems
The European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) Chapter 3.1.17. Cyclo-olefin copolymers (COC) has been corrected in Ph. Eur. Issue 12.3. which was published in January 2026. Corrected texts are to be taken into account as soon as possible and not later than the end of the month following the month of publication of the issue (i.e., no later than 28 February 2026).
Corrections
The text of Identification A has been corrected to remove the absorption maxima in the Infrared spectrophotometry (IR) identification test. The previous list was not suitable for products on the European market, hence compliance was impossible. Therefore, the text has been modified to exclude the absorption maxima while retaining comparison with the type sample.More information is available in the European Pharmacopoeia Online.
