Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Equipment Qualification
Is artificial intelligence (AI) hype, hysteria or the future that will change everything? With AI and tools such as ChatGPT, a new wave of innovation seems to be rolling towards us. But what is there to this ‘new technology’? Is it just a faster way of linking data that is already available in abundance or is it the long overdue logical processing and useful linking of information?
At the ‘Equipment Qualification Forum’, which will take place on 5 and 6 November in Heidelberg, you will learn more about how AI and ChatGPT can be used in the qualification of pharmaceutical equipment. The technology will be put to the test in a workshop. A live demonstration will test whether AI is advanced enough to provide templates for qualification documentation. The tests will also examine whether AI is able to create suitable risk analyses and provide other useful support for this labour-, time- and knowledge-intensive topic.
The ECA Validation Group is an association of representatives from the pharmaceutical industry and its suppliers who take a more pragmatic and practical approach to qualification and validation. In 2018, the first version of a ‘Good Practice Guide’ - Modern Qualification - was published, which provides practical instructions for efficient implementation. Version 3.0 of the guide is now available and contains a wide range of examples and tools that have proven their value in implementation. The focus is already on AI today in order to revolutionise qualification where necessary. Version 3.0 of the Good Practice Guide will be presented at the Equipment Qualification Forum and each participant will receive a copy of the guide.
