University of Mannheim initiates Survey on Risks in the Supply Chain

On behalf of the Mannheim Business School at the University of Mannheim, Concept Heidelberg conducts a survey on risks in the supply chain of companies in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

This so-called “global tracer” project addresses the online monitoring of pharmaceutical products and specifically considers various transport conditions. The study’s goal is to gain knowledge regarding the use of electronic supply chain data management systems, possibilities for certifying the complete supply chain process as well as relative to automated reporting.

A first validation of the scenario was already conducted with pharmaceutical and logistics businesses. The customised questionnaire specifically addresses staff in the areas logistics, production and quality assurance as well as sales and marketing. It is supposed to show the current status quo through a large group of participants, thus providing representative results. We would therefore appreciate your support of this project. All data collected as part of the project will be treated confidential of course.

In addition to this survey, “global tracer” will also conduct a survey in selected logistics and service provider businesses. This way the project managers want to ensure that project and feasibility do take into account all perspectives.

The survey results will be published in the newsletter.

Thanks for your support,
