RMM database updated with new systems

The Rapid Microbiological Methods database was recently updated with new systems.

1. Maldi Biotyper of Bruker Daltronic
The MALDI Biotyper is an automated next generation microbial identification system based on MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry utilizing the unique molecular fingerprint of microorganisms.

2. EndoLISA® Endotoxin Detection
EndoLISA® is a  detection based on an optimized  lipopolysaccharide (LPS) specific phage-derived protein as well as optimal sample conditions, in order to specifically cover the entire substance group of LPS (endotoxin).

3. Micro Station System of Biolog.
The OmniLog automated incubator and reader enables the identification of 50 aerobic samples at one time.

4. The Growth Direct System of Rapid Micro Biosystems will be available in 2013 with two new versions, e.g. for sterility testing

5. The data of BACTEC FX from BD are updated

Currently, there are 37 different systems listed in the database. That will give you the chance to compare them under the aspects of detection range, analysing method, detectable organisms and several more criteria. This will give you a unique possibility to get an overview about available systems and their possibilities.

The database is available in the RMM Group website's members' area with your access code. If you want to become a member of the working group, you can register free of charge.
