Online Seminars Generate Big Interest: Successful Start of the GMP-Webinars

With the beginning of 2006 the EUROPEAN COMPLIANCE ACADEMY (ECA) started to offer a new internet service – the GMP webinars.

The first online seminars generated big interest. Numerous attendees already take advantage of the opportunity to get the latest on topics and current developments relative to EU and FDA GMP requirements fast and uncomplicated. Moreover, the webinars were attended by participants from more than 15 European countries and the US.

Topics of ECA webinars offered so far included

  • Draft Amendment of Annex 1,
  • New FDA Requirements on Quality Systems,
  • Six Sigma in the pharmaceutical industry and
  • USP Draft General Chapter <1226>: Verification of Compendial Methods.

All attendees need for this new information tool is an internet and a phone connection – without any further software installation: the slides and the video of the speaker are transmitted via internet browser, the audio comes over the phone.

The "live" transmission also allows attendees to ask questions directly over the phone or by using an electronic contact form they can return online. With a beamer even groups can benefit from the new service – at special group rates.

The upcoming GMP-Webinar concentrates on GMP in Early Phases of Development – with a Focus on Biopharmaceuticals on 29 May from 13.30 bis 15.00 p.m. (CEST). Discuss with GMP Inspector Dr. Joerg Neuhaus the current requirements and the expectation of the authorities.
