The Wallhäußer Award 2001 for drug quality and safety endowed with
EUR 5,000 goes to Dr Ludwig Huber, Agilent Technologies.
Dr Huber is honoured for his long-running series of outstanding
publications in the fields of computer validation and Part 11 compliance.
Since 1987, CONCEPT HEIDELBERG gives the Wallhäußer Award every year to
personalities who have promoted the drug quality and safety in a special
way, e.g. by means of publications or their lifework.
The winner is chosen by a jury represented by

Dr Wolfgang Schumacher, F.
Hoffmann-La Roche, Basle, Switzerland, and

Pharmaceutical Director Rudolf Völler,
Regierungspräsidium (office of the administrative district) Darmstadt,
Germany.
The Award was handed over on the occasion of
the CONCEPT HEIDELBERG seminar "FDA-Anforderungen an die
Anlagenqualifizierung und Prozessvalidierung (QV 6)" (FDA
requirements on equipment qualification and process validation) in
Mannheim, Germany, on 27 November.
