Rx-360 receives Approval from FTC and exhibits at CPhI Tradeshow

The Rx-360 Consortium held a meeting at Merck KGaA in Darmstadt. Ms. Joanne Lewers, Partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath, the consortium's Legal Counsel and Secretary, announced that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has provided a positive advisory opinion pertaining to the organization's shared auditing programs. The Rx-360 Consortium plans to establish a joint audit programme similar to the APIC Programme and the Excipact Programme currently under development by IPEC and EFCG.

According to a press release by Rx-360, the positive opinion states that, “FTC staff has no present intention to recommend to the Commission that it challenges the implementation of either program.” This support further endorses the Consortium’s efforts to develop programs within the legal parameters of anti-trust and anti-competition laws, and advances Rx-360’s ability to proceed with plans to implement its audit sharing programs. The advisory opinion can be found on the FTC’s website.

The Rx-360 Consortium will be present at the CPhI Tradeshow from 5 to 7 October at the Villepinte Exhibition Center, Paris at the booth 5BD16.  More details can be found the Rx-360 Press Release.

Lynne Byers, Co-Chair of Rx 360 will also present at the APIC Conference in Barcelona.
